The Salmon Festival was a blast! The weather couldn’t have been better and even Hurricane Arthur couldn’t stop Newfoundland from having a great time. We met a lot of people during the festival. Rod even bumped into some old high school classmates. What we didn’t bump into was anyone that sang for a 300$ gift certificate. Even though we didn’t give away any gift certificates please keep checking our website. We’ll be announcing new contests every so often.
Rodney never takes life too seriously. He likes to run to the beat of his own drum. He also likes to put challenges out to new or existing clients (our customers). He’s excited to be back home. To be closer to family. Another benefit of being back home is to attend cultural events like the Salmon Festival. There is no better way to party like a Newfoundlander and get excited about summer finally coming to the island than to be at Salmon Festival.
Every year the Salmon Festival committee out does itself with a line up that just gets better year after year. This year is no exception. We all know how talented the 2014 line up is but, Rodney wants to see how well his new customer base can sing. The challenge is as follows;
“Find Rodney at the Salmon Festival and sing him a 60 second song explaining why your excited he’s come back to Newfoundland and opened up his studio.”
The first three that can do this in tune, on key and in a glamorous way win a 300$ gift certificate for his showroom studio. Make us proud to be back home in Newfoundland! As with every challenge there are some key points to keep in mind.
1. The gift certificates are valid for new purchases only.
2. The gift certificates are not valid for outside alteration work.
3. The gift certificates expire in one year of this year’s Salmon Festival.
Why does Rodney do crazy things like this? Simple. He doesn’t blend with the drapes or the carpet. There is already a number of amazing women’s retail clothing stores in Newfoundland. He’s not like them and he’s proud he’s different. He is a fashion designer. He’s an artist that uses women’s fashion as his pallet. He’s down to earth and just gets excited that each morning he can wake up and do what he loves for a living. Show us the crazy talent we all know each Newfoundlander has inside each and every one of us. See you at this year’s Salmon Festival, July 5, 2014 in Grand Falls – Windsor.
